The Importance Of Water And Your Skin

I speak to my clients daily about the importance of drinking water and with some it sinks in, others it’s a “tough pill” to swallow.  Let’s switch it up a little.  Memorial Day is the unofficial kickoff of the Summer season so why not infuse our water a little bit.  I look at it as you’re still getting your water with natural flavor and not any of the “fake” stuff.

Up to 60 percent of the human adult body is made of water, which is why drinking the recommended amount of water throughout the day to replenish our bodies is such a necessity both for our overall health and for our skin.  Though many of us find plain old water is simply basic and the lack of flavor causes us to reach for other beverages when thirst strikes.

STRAWBERRY, BASIL, AND LIME

½ cup strawberries, sliced

¼ lime sliced

3 basil leaves, minced

WATERMELON, MINT, AND CUCUMBER

1 cup watermelon chunks

¼ cup cucumber slices

3 leaves mint, muddled

LEMON, ROSEMARY, AND RASPBERRY

1 lemon, sliced

½ cup raspberries

5 sprigs rosemary

For each, place ingredients in a large pitcher of water and ice and allow to infuse in the fridge for at least an hour, and enjoy!

Try these out or come up with your own infusions and let me know how you like them during your next appointment.  After all, our goal is always to help you get and maintain that best glow possible!
